TWO CLERKS, ONE SHUFFLED LEDGER An original fictional case from the Bureau of Lost Context. Three visitors have returned three impossible things. The ledger kept their names and misplaced everything useful. Fortunately, the clerks kept notes. SHARED FACTS Each visitor went to one different room and returned one different object there. Use every name, object and room exactly once. Every clue is true; the story adds no hidden rules. These are separate lists, not matched rows. Visitors: Iona, Moss, Pip. Objects: pocket moon, folded tomorrow, bottled echo. Rooms: Winter Room, Clock Room, Map Room. Your task: name the object each visitor returned and the room they returned it to. Each card alone leaves several possibilities. Both together identify one complete ledger. CARD A — THE ARRIVALS DESK 1. Iona did not return the pocket moon. 2. The folded tomorrow was returned to the Winter Room. 3. Moss did not visit the Winter Room. Your card is complete. The other desk has the rest of the evidence.
